The State of Illinois offers childcare assistance to low income families whose income is below 185% of the Federal Poverty level.
Your family may be eligible for assistance and you should submit an application if…
- You are working
- You are a two parent household and both parents are working
- You are a Tanf client with Public Aid and your RSP plan assigns you to a training or education program
- You are attending high school or completing your GED
and you meet the following income guidelines:
Family of 2 with an income of less than $2268 per month
Family of 3 with an income of less than $2857 per month
Family of 4 with an income of less than $3446 per month
Family of 5 with an income of less than $4035 per month
Family of 6 with an income of less than $4624 per month
Family of 7 with an income of less than $5213 per month
Family of 8 with an income of less than $5802 per month
Family of 9 with an income of less than $6391 per month
Family of 10 with an income of less than $6980 per month

Once your completed application is submitted, it will be reviewed based on eligibility factors of the program and an Approval or Denial notice, or request for additional information will be sent to you within 10 days.
Please keep in mind, if your application is approved you will:
- Have to pay a weekly copay to your provider based on income and family size
- Need to notify West Central Child Care Connection of changes in job, income, or childcare provider.
- Be redetermined at least every six months
